Hey Guys,
I know its been a long time since I posted a blog and I apologize. I haven’t been doing so hot physically and my sheer laziness have made me complete neglect this site.
Anyways, here goes what the hell is going on in my life:
I am sure most of you know I have gout. But recently, I was helping my buddy move, I sprained an ankle. So to clarify, my right foot was killing me due to gout, my left ankle was killing me due to a sprained ankle.
It was 2007 all over again. Although, I have tried to stay away from red meat and shell fish for a while, staying away from the booze has been hard. Every time I hang out with my buddies, they wanna go out for a drink. Which is fine, but a man can’t just order ginger ale or water at a bar. So there are times, I successfully fight the temptation to drink while, there are times like last night. Where I decided to have a duel with my gout. Lots of booze was imbibed. Surprisingly, I my tolerance hasn’t gone to shit like I thought it would. And so far, my gout hasn’t really acted up so phew.
But this got me to think, what can grown folks do for fun at night time that don’t involve booze? I have racked my mind for a long time trying to figure it out. Bowling? Bowling is way more fun drunk! Disneyland? I’m a grown ass man and would never go to Disneyland unless dragged by a significant other. I have no clue what to do.
Some of my more conservative friends suggested reading a book. As much as I like to read, I feel that the ideal time to read is when you have abso-fucking-lutely nothing to do. Like when all your plans fall through and you are stuck at home just chilling. By the way, if you have any good books I should be reading let me know.
Recently, my buddies KSW and K Bryant and I were hanging out and this question was posed? “Who would be your 5 groomsmen if you got married today?” When I thought about it, I realized that my list changed from 5 years ago. Its funny how things change in a matter of a few years. Then I began to think what happened. Why did my list change? What the fuck happened to my close friends of yester year.
Don’t get me wrong, I still have friends who I don’t have to talk to every day and still when we hang out its as if nothing happened. Then there are those people that you used to see everyday. They are your homies but as soon as you dont see them for a while, conversations start to get awkward. I have met some folks recently, that I was generally close to that these days are no more than acquaintances. May be its because our lives are completely different. May be its because people completely change. Whatever the case, it made me think a whole lot.
Damn there is no point in this post.
OK OK to end this post on a good note here you go:
We just released the last episode for Ktown Cowboys a week ago and let me tell you it has been an awesome experience. This project was something that came out of the minds of me and Daniel DPD Park. We wrote it thinking its going to be something fun and small. After the script got finalized, we realized that we may have taken on something bigger than originally imagined.
We were fortunate to have a bunch of people that were down to get this project off the ground. From the folks at the Social Trust, to the Executive Producers, and Producers that really helped us out. The actors really came thru as well and went above and beyond their job descriptions. And finally the support from a lot of you guys. I personally didn’t think it would be well received because of all the cursing and drinking but I am glad it was pretty well received by most people. The staff and crew were all very awesome and BIG TIME SHOUT OUTS TO WANDAG and the MIGHTY FIFTY!!!
I sit here at the cafe where I did the bulk of my writing and I am just grateful that we got to do this project. So thank you everyone. Thanks for stopping us on the street, taking pictures with us, buying us shots at bars, and just your kind words. We would never have dreamed of such support from you guys and it truly means a lot to us.
For those that I haven’t seen the series, here you go:
Ep 1
Ep 2

BE SURE TO SUBSCRIBE TO THE YOUTUBE CHANNEL! WE GOT A LOT MORE IN STORE FOR YOU GUYS!!! THANKS AGAIN FOR THE SUPPORT!
This one is for Pops.
When I was a kid, I thought my dad was the strongest dude in the world. I saw him fight people at the store and beat the shit out of them. My dad is 6ft 1in. He is a lean dude but I guess it’s the old ahjuhshee power that he possesses. He laid a lot of people out, I was one of them when I ever fucked up. I was always in awe of the guy. How can a guy from Korea born in the 50’s be hitting jumpshots on people 10-20 years younger than him. He played in a neighborhood basketball league and he was schooling these grown ass men. A FOB from korea was killing these dudes. No one in the hood really fucked with my pops. Hence, they still live in the house I grew up in and have never left. No one really bothers my parents.
My dad came to the states in 1978. He worked all kinds of odd jobs. He worked at a fish market, gas station, and a handful of other jobs. He finally purchased a house and liquor store in East LA. Not a great decision but he really didn’t know better. My parents are the longest to survive in the area. No one would last more than 5 years. No one even thought about putting graffiti on the store. That is one thing my pops got from everyone, Respect.
My dad is the person to blame for my insane cockiness. Well I see it as confidence but a lot of people have said I am arrogant. Fuck them. You see I learned from an early age that there is nothing I can’t do if I really applied myself. My dad is the one that drilled that idea into my skull. He made me the competitive fucker that I am. That is why I am pretty confident in everything I embark on. Because he taught me to never give up and try my absolute best.
Dad if you are reading this you are to blame for my comedy career. I can’t give this shit up anymore. I have to give it everything I got first. Don’t worry, I WILL succeed.
Anyways, to the man that sacrificed everything for the family. You are the man that quit smoking cigarettes because of the family. You are the man that works like a refugee even though you don’t have to. You are the man that lives every day with that never give up mentality. I wish you a happy fathers day . You are truly my hero and hopefully one day I will be able to emulate you in terms of your perseverance and sacrifice.
